Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) better known by her real name Ari Lennox is an American artist and songwriter hailing born in Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist contracted to J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. The debut EP Pho, released was released on the 21st of October, 2016 was released via Dreamville Records. It was at this point that she began to get recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox released her debut songs online in the year 2012. The singer released her debut album the single Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. Her uploads continued music online in 2014, with the release of her independent single Bound. The 21st of July, 2015 was the day she appeared on Omen's album Elephant Eyes on the track Sweat it Out. J. Cole, who was a member of the Dreamville crew back then would like to see her do some Rihanna in reference to Rihanna. The 8th of December was the day she reported that she had contracted to Dreamville Records. In the album Revenge of the Dreamers II, she appeared on the track Backseat, along with Cozz. On the 21st of October in 2016, she dropped her debut EP titled Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song, and performed on her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. Also, she was featured on the songs Nothing but the Best by EarthGang and Icarus with Bas, her labelmates. On July 16 2018 Ari Lennox released the first single Whipped Cream on her first album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video, which was released on the 5th of September. In November, she dropped two more singles called 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. On November 13 she debuted two more singles entitled One and Pdigree. One as well as Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby was released on her debut single, February 26, 2019, for her album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby made an appearance with Cole in the Creed II sound track on November 16. On February 20, 2019 the music video was released to accompany the track. It already has more than three millions views on YouTube within the first week. In December of 2018, she was part of her From East Atlanta With Love Tour featuring 6LACK.
